May Island Day

May 2, 2026

While this trip has traditionally been an overnight campout, we’re switching things up this year to make the most of our time—trading tents for a full day of sun, salt air, and nonstop fun (and a lot fewer mosquitoes).

We’ll kick things off early Saturday morning, meeting at the Anclote River Park boat ramp before heading out by boat to beautiful Anclote Key. Once we arrive, the day is ours—whether that means casting a line, swimming in the Gulf, exploring the island trails, or just relaxing with friends in a one-of-a-kind setting.

As the day winds down, we’ll regroup and boat over to Rusty Bellies for a well-earned dinner together. Parents can plan to pick up scouts there Saturday evening.

What to bring: pack smart and light—everything goes with us to the island and back. Be sure to bring a sack lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, fishing gear, and anything else you’ll need for a full day outdoors.

Calling all parents! If you have a boat and are willing to help transport scouts, please note that when signing up—we’ll follow up with details. As a thank-you, all boat captains are invited to join us for dinner with the troop.

This is shaping up to be an awesome day—great scenery, great activities, and even better company. Don’t miss it!

The cost for this camp is $20 per attendee which will go towards additional snacks, water for the captains and a small amount towards dinner. This will be paid via PayPal at the end of this form.
